When we can, those involved at the shelter go out to feed or provide other supplies to those who are living in the streets. We would like to do this more often, hopefully on a regular basis so that we can help encourage those who remain on the streets to seek the best program for them. There are different programs for just about every person living on the street, some are just not yet ready to take the first step, which may include; a commitment to sobriety, mental health care/follow-up, and for some just accepting a temporarily staying in a structured environment.
If anyone has anything that they would like to donate, including bottled waters, sliced bread, sandwich meat, sliced cheese, cookies, chips, baggies, and lunch bags we would appreciate your help very much. Another big need for those living in the streets during are flip flop type shoes, good condition tennis shoes (especially mens 11 and up), socks, band aids, and neosporin or other antibacterial ointment.
We want to help ensure, with the help of many other great organizations, that all of the homeless individuals that remain on the streets have been offered all of the resources available to them. Donations can be taken to the shelter office, located at 14049 Amargosa Road in the City of Victorville.
Don’t forget to ask us for a donation receipt if needed.
